To me it seems odd that through normal conversation, whether in person or online, that stating you would defend yourself with a weapon when faced with a life or death situation would be damning at some point later in life if that situation actually developed for you.

This literally makes it possible, if not likely to convict anyone of any crime in any circumstance with how our justice system works.
