KUSA – A retired officer from Alabama was the person who shot a man Douglas County deputies said was pointing a gun and firing at random people on a multi-county crime spree, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by 9NEWS.
Ok, so here is a question. If said ARs and their dangerous 30 round mags were from Alabama, wouldn't these be illegal in Colorado due to our 15 round mag law?

If he is truly visiting from Bama he didnt bring any 10 round mags. Doubt they even exist there. Odds are he is dealing w 30s.

I thought you had to both own the magazines AND have them in your possession IN Colorado before the ban to be legal?

Yeah you can't bring them in no matter how old they are. Article said he was from Bama so that means he is visiting here on vacation or something along those lines.
Question is did he use 30 rounders or did he use 15 rounders that were not enough and he had to use a second rifle to defend himself?
If he used 30 rounders, I would like to see DougCo Sheriff come out and say that they are not enforcing that law and they sent the guy on his way.
Either way, this adds to the proof of how stupid the mag law is.
