The second Colorado started talking about decriminalization, people started complaining that every traffic infraction they saw was "some stoner." Same shitty drivers every day, but now it was all being blamed on weed. When PokemonGo came out, I kept hearing people complaining about how people were just zombies on their phones because they were all playing PokemonGo. Really? People have been glued to their cell phones for the past 20 years, and now if you see someone not paying attention it's because of Pokemon? Then that died down and people went back to just regular complaining. It's just human nature to pick the newest change in your environment and start blaming everything you can on it. Pot, pokemon, liberals, puppy mills, texting, whatever. I know it's annoying, but if I feel like something is getting blamed that may not be related, I'm going to say something about it. I feel like Colorado has been swirling the bowl since before I was old enough to understand and experience the changes myself, and regardless of legal weed, the population here is growing and we're getting all the increased regulation and dipshit nanny state laws that come with that. I just can't imagine any other place of similar population levels where people aren't spending most of their time complaining about things they don't like.

It's not like legal weed is the latest thing in Colorado... been over 5 years now, hasn't it?

I wasn't in the metro... so didn't see the decline caused by liberalization directly (until the gunpocalypse of 2012)... but started seeing major changes that seemed related to MJ legalization- been involved with several discussions on this site (and several others)... And I continue to have discussions because there are people who want legalization in TX. I'm going to continue to fight against it, because I believe wholeheartedly that it would lead to TX being a blue state sooner than it is already doomed to.

But at least I now understand what you're doing.... even if I can't identify with it or why.

If my comment is not in the right place then I'll move it to whatever thread you want but it does not change the facts or the laws, which are to use E-verify and NOT hire illegals while hypocritically condemning them. You specifically forgot about illegals in this thread so I thoughtfully & factually reminded you, in the same thread.

I am the OP, and this thread was intended to discuss the legislative plans of the "D"-trifecta once again infesting the Colorado State Capitol, not really the national debate on immigrants or general Trump policies.

I saw some advise on hiding & deleting your online activity: When we do get some kind of draconian gun laws, I'd like to see the owners of this site delete all the posts and start over fresh so as to not give the State a place to search and find what many of us have said in the past.
I saw this post which I did not think was related: I have no problem with kids. I have problems with people that expect others to pay for their kids, or pay for them to take time off to have them.

I saw this personal wish list: This should be built like an HSA account, that rolls over and can be invested. And you can draw down unused portions after age 65. Reward people for being invested in their future, and make it equal between child and non-child families. Have 8 kids before 25? Yeah, you're probably not getting 12 weeks of for each of them. Have on kid at 30? F it, take 16 or 20 if you can swing it through your account if you want. Or only take what you need and build it for retirement.

These comments are totallly acceptable, totally in the right place & are great examples of the intellectual & factual discussion on the legislative plans in Colorado State Capitol that this thread was intended to be.
