Good luck with the move, you won't regret it. We left for Georgia 2 years ago now and couldn't be happier. Could no longer stand the nonsense going on in Colorado and it's only getting worse. I was back there just last week for work and while there are a few things I miss it took me about a day to realize there is no way I could still live there.

It's like the state has been taunting me since I made the decision. Nice, cool days with a consistent breeze...

Best of luck to you Ridge. I am certainly keeping my eye on Texas when I retire. Not certain yet, but it's on the radar. Not sure how many states will still welcome us gun-toting, God fearing, Conservatives in the distant future. Guess time will tell. I visit Santa Fe, Texas as often as my budget will allow. Take care of yourself and stay in touch.

Austin is the boulder of texas but at least it will be a bit cheaper. For now anyway. I have a lot of family in texas and they're basically a decade behind colorado. All the Californians are moving out there, property values going up, many districts starting to turn purple. It's sad the liberals are like locusts.

If there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to buy a gun, there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote.

For legal reasons, that's a joke.
