Right?! The "unhoused" are becoming another protected class as seen in places like San Francisco and Seattle. We're supposed to allow them to do whatever it is they want to do - whether it be on public or private property. Soon we'll be required to post signs in our yard saying "No Tresspassing" because, well, it isn't just assumed anymore. Even that will only last so long before private property rights are removed as just another fascist mechanism.

It used to be that we called these people "bums" and ran them off and were free to humiliate them for their poor life choices. Now, we just embrace them and their choices and WE become the pariah for not showing them compassion and taking them to the ATM to give them our last dollar while they turn our communities into the slums of New Delhi.

If the do-gooders really wanted to fix the homeless/"unhoused" issue they'd quit feeding the bears. By enabling the behavior we've only made it worse.

Apparently it was discussed somewhere on NextDoor, for what that's worth.
They hop light rail to Lone Tree on a daily basis. I guess the handouts are better in the 'burbs.

This 100%. When I see an able bodied male begging at an intersection and then someone stops to give them money, I want to scream "Stop feeding the bears!".

Starvation is a great solution. Either the bums starve to death. One solution. Or they realize starvation sucks and they change their ways and start earning their money like other useful members of society. The preferred but less common solution. Either way, the problem solves itself over time if people quit interfering with natural selection.

I realize some people really are homeless due to circumstances beyond their control (usually mental illness). But let's be honest, the vast majority of the beggars are simply lazy parasites who refuse to earn their way through life. I have no compassion for laziness. I have seen the able bodied begging right in front of businesses with 'Help Wanted' signs while playing with their cell phone. Give me a break.

Visitors to Golden can travel from Denver and DIA to Golden via the West Rail Line or “W” line.
The West Rail Line between Golden and Denver Union Station passes through 3 fare zones, so the price for a single, one way ticket between Golden and Denver is currently $4.00.

Boulder indeed does a lot of virtue signaling but when it comes to that sort of thing, uh, no...they don't invite them in because they hate the poor. One only needs to look @ the legislation & infrastructure.

Remedied with a bus/train ticket to Golden.

You get rid of institutions and vagrancy laws...and this is what you get. The "War on Poverty" is a hoax. There has been, and always will be, "poverty".

A lot nicer than I would have been. He would have woke up being soaked by the garden hose until he removed his worthless self from my property.
