Amos is just generic-brand Jayne Cobb.

Miller was alright, and I liked the idea of a noir-ish detective in space, but that plot was dead by the end of season one.

Of course i'm jonesing for a second season of Altered Carbon. Hope it doesn't disappoint like S2 of True Detective did.
Season 4 of The Expanse was good enough to finally edge out Battlestar Galactica as the best sci-fi show - and my favorite show - of all time. Amos is one of the most interesting characters of all time and I can’t think of any others off the top of my head that are comparable. He’s the rare original idea to come out of Hollywood/Vancouver, even if he was originally a book character.

I don’t have high hopes for season two of Altered Carbon. I can’t stand Anthony Mackie as an actor.

"The Two Popes" on Netflix was pretty good. Not my usual movie fare, but superbly shot and well acted.

As silly as it may sound, the Marvelous Ms. Masel on Amazon is actually pretty good. I was very apprehensive when my wife and her friend wanted to watch it but turns out I actually find it entertaining and amusing. We just started the third season.

I just started watching that also. Not the run of the mill series and I'm also finding it entertaining.

We are part way through Season 2. I find it very entertaining as well. Tony Shalhoub as Abe Weissman is genius. And the lovely Rachel Brosnahan as Mrs Maisel, I had never heard of her before but she shines in this period comedy.

Season 3 was overall disappointing - seems half the episodes were musicals and too many story-lines. I also prefer the original Abe.
Still an entertaining series worth watching.
