I was at Green Mountain Guns yesterday. Moderately busy, about half the consignment handguns were gone. About three quarters of ARs gone, too, with just a few examples of what looked like budget carbines left. The bolt actions and shotguns looked normal. Ammo shelves mostly empty and a two box limit. Overall, pretty good inventory compared to the last panic.

Also, they have two of the new Pythons on display, which was really interesting to see. The standard finish on these guns is very, very nice. If they ever dip below a thousand, I'll probably snag one.

I was at Green Mountain yesterday, and the consignment hand guns are just about wiped out. Only a few ARs remain from what used to be a well-stocked display. Ammo shelves are mostly bare, with a 1 box limit on 9mm purchases. Lots and lots of bolt action consignment rifles remain, and the new S&W revolvers are ALL still there. A few of the more expensive new Glocks are still available. I was surprised to see that much of the cleaning brushes and supplies are gone - so, based on that, I'd say many first time buyers showed up in the past few days.

Scheels was out of any popular caliber ammo. Only thing they had lots of was 12ga bird shot. Reloading supplys were pretty well stocked except for primers. Almost bought a savage precision 22 but the cbi was a day out, maybe next time.

Being on that side of town you should go by Ark Tactical. Walls are full. Ammo is well stocked. No limit on any ammo except 9mm FMJ (limit 200rnds or 1,000rnds with gun purchase). The guys there have been working overtime for months to make sure they stay well stocked after the initial covid run.

What's the situation with the 500+ packs of .22? Has anyone noticed a shortage at the shops or Walmart?

Our Wal-Mart and Murdoch's both had CCI 22 on the shelf on Wednesday.

Rimfire ammo seems to be in stock everywhere. No centerfire to be found...except .45Gap.

The other caliber I seem to find when there's a drought is .41 Magnum.

The 2 boxes of .45 GAP I saw could very possibly be from the very first shipment of .45 GAP ever sent out to retailers. It's marked $9.89 box. It's in the local ranch supply store.
