The mood isn't right. I'm imagining a quiet evening, a couple coffee cans of .223 brass, a table covered with reloading components, and my Dillon 650.

America was literally founded on kicking out those with whom a group (and a really small group I might add) had a problem with.

We started a literal international war where a minuscule amount of people participated in the fighting over far, far less than the current various levels of “government” have done.

Is this detestable on principle or because we aren’t supposed to like the ones who are embodying an otherwise acceptable principle?

The former needs explaining. The latter is called “special pleading”, and is known in philosophy as a fallacy.

Interesting take and I'm interested to see where this goes. But these folks are leaching off the "esteblishment" that they claim to detest so much. Like I wrote earlier, when they start generating their own power and establish their own water source I'll start to take them seriously. Now they're just partying and taking and creating nothing.

Who knows, maybe we'll see a Declaration of Independence from them soon. THAT would make this interesting.

I've been trying not to mention how ironic it is that people who feel so strongly about the second amendment as a means to enforce their will on the government, can't seem to understand that it's the EXACT same concept when using bricks instead of guns.

I think most bricks were not used to fight the US government but to break windows to gain access to free shit.

In this case, I think you're right. There are more than just two or three sides at play here. It's a big mess and I don't expect a resolution

No doubt. I'm really not sure what all of these agitators want. Less racism? Ok, that's always a noble goal, but I think it's probably at a low point now than ever in US history. No cops? Please..... WTF do these people really want? Eat the rich? Good tune, bad philosophy. And a D in office isn't going to solve any of this. It'll be the same old shit.

I understand what you mean but I think you have this backwards. The people who are strongly in support of the 2A generally aren't trying to force their will on the gov't. They talk of using guns to keep the gov't from forcing it's will on them.
