She had a pretty remarkable life.
Fuck the democrats. They're not in charge of the senate and they're gonna have a hissy fit regardless of what happens. Nothing will change them.

Quote:
Second Amendment 'Outdated'
In the wake of the Colorado recall election and a fierce, nationwide debate over gun rights and gun control, Justice Ginsburg also comments on the past, present and future of the Second Amendment. She cites her dissent in District of Columbia v. Heller, and says her "view of the Second Amendment is one based on history."
She continues, "The Second Amendment has a preamble about the need for a militia...Historically, the new government had no money to pay for an army, so they relied on the state militias. And the states required men to have certain weapons and they specified in the law what weapons these people had to keep in their home so that when they were called to do service as militiamen, they would have them. That was the entire purpose of the Second Amendment."

Different belief but she served our country.
Sad day today.
The far left and fringe are now going to exaggerate the stakes of this election beyond what we could have previously imagined. I would not be surprised to see especially heightened levels of violence attempted in the next few weeks - both targeted (e.g. potentially POTUS) and untargeted (e.g. OKC) but police and government are the top of the pile for "ire", and then all of your BLM types will think they're now practically missionaries for "RBG" and doing things in "her honor", so we might see more random attempts on officer's lives like we've already witnessed.
Not happy about it, but definitely not sad. I do think this helps the Dems, reminding them what's at stake. 0% chance it gets filled before election, maaaaaaybe if it turns lame duck but highly doubtful.
I do think it'd be wise for Trump to narrow his previous list to his top 5 choices and force Biden to do the same.
McConnell has already said "unequivocally" that any Trump nominee will get a vote in the senate. The republicans getting Kavanaugh confirmed was pretty remarkable...considering...well, they're republicans. And that was largely due to McConnell. So I at least have some hope McConnell can pull it off again.
