Anyone going to the Central Wy Machine gun shoot?

Never heard of it until now. Interesting, apparently it's in the Shirley Basin, North of Medicine Bow. Makes sense as that's pretty empty country.

Too bad they didn't have it when I was going to school in Laramie between 2000 and 2005.

Reading an old AP article from 2008, it mentions that then it was the 11 th annual shoot (going by Northern Rockies machine gun and cannon shoot). So sounds like they started back in 1997. They aren't good at advertising it though it seems. I knew it was going on and had a hard time finding the information a few months back.
