I watched The Square last night. It is a Kiwi film. It was a good movie, but the effect of what I like to call Catastrophic Drama was greatly reduced after having already seen movies like House of Sand and Fog, Requiem For a Dream, Amores Perros, etc. If you need constant action to keep you focused, this is not the movie for you.

    Discussion if you've seen it:

It is basically a movie where adults continuously make one terrible decision after another, further digging themselves into a hole that eventually becomes an inescapable abyss. It has guns, betrayal, car chases, etc, but little to no action.
I think I was irritated at how there is almost never any hope for anyone in the film to rectify, or even get away from the consequences.

    End.

I've been seeing the trailer for it on a lot of movies we've rented recently, so I added it to the queue. One of the guys in the trailer looks like Sam Worthington (the Avatar dude) but apparently it's not. Oh, and in case you weren't aware, Kiwis are from New Zealand.

Just finished watching 'Broiler Room' for the so many times. That movie along with Wallstreet always pumps me up.

Tonight is going to be The Crazies (I'll get a report for you Ghettodub) and some time next week will probably be From Paris With Love.

I signed up for Netflix and just got my Nintendo Wii streaming disc. First up, The Horsemen, then 44 inch chest and The Lovely Bones. It's going to be movie night non-stop, got to get my 9 bucks worth.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Of course, even though I posted that, I haven't had a chance to watch either. I'm happy about your endorsement though. It's still early tonight, perhaps I'll get one of them in; assuming Mario Kart Wii doesn't consume me all night. *minimum of a Star rating in every cup baby!!!*

Harry Brown is like the British version of Gran Tornio, only it is twice as good.

Has Michael Cain and Emily Mortimer in it. Check it out asap.

EDIT: Oops, I meant Michael Cain.

I've been watching a lot of movies lately. Bittorrent for the fuckin win

The Love Guru - stupidly goofy but enjoyable

The Bank Job - great heist flick

Down Periscope - one of my all time favorite funny movies

Above the Law - could have been good but was edited by a retard.

Breast Men - sure lots of boobs but pretty uninteresting plot.

The Happening - not quite as bad as I had been told, but close.
