This seems silly. Wouldn't it effectively turn a 4" barrel into a 3"?
Plus make a mess inside the slide?
Would the slide cycle correctly?
The whole thing is very confusing to me.

I like it when my gun breathes fire
I tried something similar on a G19.
It did reduced muzzle rise, now maybe this was due to the reduced velocity (# in my notes somewhere), maybe it was the gas, it did seem to be quite loud and more exhaust to the face.
That's basically what I have. (A 19/19x convertible lower). It does keep it very flat. I might be able to get a chrono out and test this weekend ported vs unported. If that's something that ya'll want to see. Have to locate my "normal" barrel
Ported barrel is VERY loud

YOU are the first responder. Police, fire and medical are SECOND responders.
When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away...
Gun registration is gun confiscation in slow motion.

The 9mm is a pretty high pressure caliber. Those holes for sure make the pistol recoil really flat so it can be faster for additional shots.
It actually isnt that dirty inside the gun because the holes in the slide or bigger than the ones in the barrel.
And the CDI factor is pretty high.
