LE visited him 2019 and confiscated a bunch of knives because he was threatening to kill people. Then in 2020 daddy sponsored his FOID card due to him being underage at the time.

All I see is "high powered rifle" and similar to an AR-15.
When I think of a high power rifle, first thing that pops into my head is .375 H&H. I doubt this clown would buy something that brutal.
He is a dainty 125 pounds. A .30-30 may be too much for him to handle.
From the audio, it sounds like a semi-auto. If it was an evil AR, I am sure it would be broadcast far and wide. Maybe a mini-14?
I'll go out on a limb and guess that when the dad ran for mayor as a democrat in that town, he had a very anti gun stance on that issue.
