    A friend and I attended last night as well. Very interesting indeed. Was pretty surprised to hear that one of the members in the local flat earther group was a surveyor. What's up with that?

    Thanks for the invite on this forum or I would have never known about it.

    I mean with some basic FEA (or old school equations and calculators) it could be calculated how much material (lets say high strength steel?) would be required to support the weight without deflecting.

    I mean flat earthers must have already calculated this. Beam (or disc) bending calculations should be done. After all, if the edges of the disc bend, then all the water would run off and it wouldnt be flat. It would then be "convex earth theory" (unless on had reference point from the other side then it would be "concave earth theory")

    This whole pizza pie thing gets to be quite a complicated engineering problem.

    If only there was an efficient shape in the cosmos that could solve this problem....
