For those who mentioned pizza, does anyone have an opinion on Borriello Brothers (7 locations in the Springs)? Just looking for thoughts on the pizza if you've had it . . .

I love Old C's pizzas, most of the good food I've had has been in places other than CO. Ive had a killer burger from Kuma's Corner in Chicago, there was another killer mexican joint there in Skokie but I cant remember the name; I'll have to ask my father in law, I also had some great mex at a place called Gardunos in Las Vegas, the Flamingo had a burger joint inside (also cant recall the name but it was just before the buffet - Vegas) and I had the Blue Moon burger that kicked much ass. Best Mexican food - Mexico of course, too many places to name but the best I can vaguely remember was a place right on the beach in Sayulita (only place with a red fence there), and another hut that was in the middle of the jungle by Nayarit that we ended the canopy tour at - I don't believe these places even had a name.

For Pizza we love Nick and Willys take n bake. They build it the way you want and you take it home and bake it.
We used to hit a bunch of the Italian joints in north Denver like Palgliaccis, Gaetanos, Patsys, Carls and such but since most of the original owners have passed they have really gone downhill. My wife likes the Italian place at 44th and Tennyson and at 32cnd and Zuni.
Tocabe at 44th and Lowell is tasty for something different.
For BBQ Brickyard on 38th about Perry St aint bad and they have Burnt Ends!. KT's in Broomfield is fairly decent and priced nice and the sauces are good.
We give up on decent Mexican food though- it seems every time we find someplace that we like they change ownership or something and they fall on their face. El Himador at 112th and Huron was great for a while but then it went south. We like the Blue Parrot but it is a drive for us.

Yes, they have several varieties and such. I enjoy their pizza.

As far as my favorite restuarant, I'd have to say Rudy's over in Old Colorado City. Just reminds me of good memories. Plus, the BBQ isn't too bad.

    Favorite restaurants?

Dave's Chuckwagon Diner for breakfast, fried chicken and the best chicken fried steak in the state.

Rosa Linda's for mole and authentic green chili.

    D'corazon for Denver green chili.

    Efrain's for the Efrain burrito.

Mountain Sun and Savory Cafe for burgers & fries.

Wild Mountain Smoke House for BBQ.

Dot's Diner or Lucille's for breakfast.

    Looking for a decent gyro.

That's true. I don't know if it's psychological or what.

I ate at an olive garden (not really known as the best italian) in salem oregon and it was superb. and one of the best meals I ever had was in the excaliubur in vegas.

Based on recommendations, we just went to La Delicias for lunch. It was good. I had the Friday special Carnitas and my wife ordered a taco, enchilada combo. Both meals were good and it cost $18 (no drinks or deserts). Mine was huge and taste But I've been accused of liking everything I eat.
