'Bout 12-13 years ago, I was working for awhile in Jackson, WY (aka Jackson Hole). Talk about a beautiful place. But talking to the locals, they were distressed because people that had lived there for generations couldn't afford to live there anymore because the damned CA millionaires had bought up so much of the area the property values and taxes were driving the locals out of the county. Folks that had lived on family land forever had to sell and move out, yet still commute to Jackson to make a living. That ain't right.
They said the only bright spot was that the billionaires were starting to buy up everything and were driving out the millionaires.
