ok, BBQ is all individual tastes and that's fine.

But people wait in line at Olive Garden all the time, does that mean it's great Italian food?

american's taste in most anything worries me.

Ate at Texas de Brazil on 13 Dec. OUTSTANDING!

I've eaten at Fogo de Chao in Houston, Roditzio in Albuquerque, and Pampas in Las Vegas. Texas de Brazil was at least as good as Fogo de Chao, which I consider the best of the lot. Ate so much meat I started getting the "meat sweats"!

Great place to go for a special occasion or as th eoccasional treat, but GO HUNGRY.

I was thinking about that the other day, and that a majority of people don't know what a truly great meal tastes like. It's like being in Times Square and you see people at the Chilis...

    How True.

There are 3-4 good - VG eateries (based on the spouses and my taste) in our town. Yet you still see sheep lined up at the MickeyD's drive through like they're selling top shelf Prime Rib WTF!!!

has anybody tried "Yazoo BBQ" downtown? would be interesting to hear how it compares to the Hickory House....

Park Burger in Wash Park was pretty darn good,

Quincy's steakhouse in Buena Vista/Leadville etc. I think is exceptional- I can't believe a filet meal (6oz) for $8. I have paid over $60 for filet that was not as good as theirs. I also appreciate their menu- your "choice" is only size- and what drink you would want. M-Th is filet, Friday thru Sun changes to prime rib and/or sirloin roast or something like that.

for something to mix it up, Cafe Brazil in Denver Highlands is top five in Denver for me. Family run/owned place- great quality ingredients and reasonable for what you are getting.

Also another vote for Root Down.

La Loma, Lola or Patzcuaro's for "southern food" for me.
