The wind and cold was pretty brutal in Jan-- but we've shot in colder weather there (though not both I don't think). Crazy wind = almost all steel match.
The Feb match is coming up a week from today. I'd like to get "Stage Bosses" who have some great stage ideas and can direct our plentiful helpers to get them done. I bring a screw gun and an extra battery, and I show up a little before 8 to set up the range closed signs. We'll shoot on bay 1 (25 yards, approx 7y wide), bay 3 (50x50), bay 4 ("shotgun" berm, 100x40), and the 200m range. FYI, we plan to shoot on the 200m on even numbered months and the 100y on the odd months. If you can hit a 6x6 steel plate at 200m from offhand, you should do fine.
If you're new to 3-Gun and action shooting sports, see if you can get a USPSA-style safety briefing from one of your buddies. I always give a safety and new shooter briefing at the shooters' meeting, but if you get it before you'll have an easier learning curve. If you've shot USPSA or IDPA, you should be GTG for procedure and safety.
Any other questions, email me, call me, or post a question here and give me a pointer so I don't miss it.
