More wishful thinking on my part than an endorsement. Besides...who cares what I think about presidential candidates? It's just fun and makes for conversation.

Bachmann and Alan West- there would be a ticket!
Couldn't agree more on shitcanning them. Doesn't matter to me which side they're on; they're all crooks nowadays...

And I do like Alan West, and I may actually vote for him, but only if he was for Pres, as I don't like Bachmann

Wishful is OK, I wish a lot of things.

I wish the Rs had put up a good person instead of a RINO like McCain. I knew Obama was going to win when the Rs put McCain up so I voted for the Constitution Party and I cannot remember who he was now.

I'm looking forward to figuring out who the candidates will be and who I'll be voting for. Your input and the input of other folks will help me figure that out.

Right now I'm pretty certain we have 4 more years of hope and change coming though. Sad to say that I don't have much hope for this country.

Problem is that our candidates tend to be chosen by Democrats in New Hampshire.

Something Republicans may want to familiarize themselves with is the concept of open primaries. And then work to end them.

Seriously, I spent an entire day in stupid caucuses (can we PLEASE get primaries here in Colorado?) and we ended up picking Romney ... which was kinda bleh ... but then because McCain won in New Fuckin' Hampshire, Romney dropped out of the race the next day ... the bum.

We outnumber New Hampshire by 4 to 1 (1.3million New Hampshirites vs 5 million Coloradoans) but our votes mean absolutely NOTHING because of the tradition of weighing New Hampshire first (and Iowa with their measly 3 million Iowans).

Frankly I'd prefer to see a national primary day where all the states run their primaries at once, but that probably won't happen.

I want Ron Paul. If the left can mess things up with Obamalamadingdong as their poster boy. I want to see what someone with freedom in mind can do with 4 years.

not going to happen. he tries and tries but in the end he just takes away votes where they are needed. I love some of his ideas but it isn't going to happen.

now rand paul would be good. I think Bachman/Rand Paul ticket is good.

I get emails from both of them and keep up with both on a weekly basis. Definitely would be good for us.

But as everyone has said, the CIC is more of a poster boy that can veto some works of the house and senate and talk big. What I fear is a turn in the supreme court in the next 6 years...that is something we do not want and the reason a conservative needs to win 2012.
Another big focus should be the senate and get it turned around. If conservatives own the house and senate, the only thing in the way is the mighty pen. But even that can't keep everything from getting pushed through and if we own both house and senate, overriding the veto is a possibility. Either way, the main focus needs to be keeping the house or strengthening it, taking more seats in the senate and then trying to get the white house.
