I dunno if they even make +P .25ACP. I carry FMJs in mine, the hollow points just don't penetrate reliably (from what I read from the expertz on the interwebz).

I found these numbers pretty interesting though (interesting in how close they are)...
    .25ACP
% of hits that were fatal - 25%
Average number of rounds until incapacitation - 2.2
    One-shot-stop % - 30%

    9mm
% of hits that were fatal - 24%
Average number of rounds until incapacitation - 2.45
    One-shot-stop % - 34%

yes but a classic denim jacket, thick hoodie at range, small breast wallet or a strong wind will stop a .25 in most cases.

Anytime I get too hot doing something while wearing a polo, I call "OC" and go undershirt only.

Just moved up here to the Thornton area 104th/Steele ish how does the OC thing go over up here?
You sir, are a specialist in the art of discovering a welcoming outcome of a particular situation....not a mechanic.

My feedback add 11-12 ish before the great servpocaylpse of 2012

I don't think Adams County has any BS laws about it. I've looked over the laws before and as far as I can tell, its legal to OC anywhere outside of Denver County and restricted areas (fed. buildings, schools, etc.).

I have seen +P+ .25 ACP ammo before. It is rare and not available through commercial manufacturers and still lacks the power of a decent .32 ACP hollowpoint.

No .25 ACP hollowpoint expands reliably. The only defensive round I recommend for the .25 ACP is the Winchester Xpanding point. It is loaded hot, expands, and creates two wound channels. Penetration is comparable to FMJ. Still, a little more than half the power of a .32 ACP. You cannot rely on the .25 to stop someone. It will, however, slow them down and possibly change their mind.

I have heard that a shiny nickle plating increases the stopping power of a .25 ACP by 25%.

Maybe a dumb question, but..... Why not just untuck the under shirt, or loose it, and just wear one shirt?

My Kimber rubs my side and if its sweaty it gets a bit raw.
That's why I wear an undershirt

The LCP is approximately the same size and weight as a .25 automatic with more than double the power. There is also a LEGAL wallet rig available for it, which completely squares off the print and makes it look like something other than a gun. I really liked mine a lot, but then I realized how difficult it was to strip down, and I decided plastic triggers with lots of creep and no doublestrike capability just wasn;'t for me. For what it is, it's a good gun, and it is very reliable.
