That's what I said. We had Soldiers get out of deployments because they were having nightmares about the stories the combat vets were telling them.

Wow, in our unit those guys would be sent to the CSM and properly reamed for being pansies! That is total CRAP! I was scared when I deployed, but it was something that I expected when I signed up during wartime, you'd have to be a complete moron to think you won't deploy if you sign up while 2 wars are going on. They even say it in basic, "99% of you will deploy at one point in your service time, have no illusions."

All this talk of waiting for weekends and such just reminded me of where I was two years ago, 340 days of one year straight with no days off (not even weekends), blistering heat and freezing cold, threat of death daily, and some days walking for miles with full body armor (weight= 65-75lbs), 70lb ruck, helmet, and temps upwards of 110 degrees.
We have it f***ing easy compared to my bros and sis' fighting overseas.
