Pretty sure my mother had a wooden spoon factory in the attic.. No one ever cared if I went to school with bruises.. 'did you learn your lesson' was all that was asked... My mother sent a letter to the principal of the school.. if I were to act up I should be paddled till I could no longer sit.. she did not have the time to pick me up from detention... we lived 20 miles from school.. many times I made that walk.

There was never a time I can recall throwing a tantrum in public.. if there is.. i'm sure there is a reason I don't remember it.. I was probably unconscious.

A few of our friends have children that truly impress with their manners. Sadly, for every one of those kids, there's a bakers dozen that have me cursing fertility clinics that help those that nature frowned upon have little monsters. Some of these medically-achieved wonder children were apparently so hard to conceive that the parents won't even consider discipline of any sort.

Just sayin, kids now a days have no maners what so ever!! My Niece, she has manners, and if she gets out of line, the parrents " my bro & sis in law" set her straight. WITH OUT contact of any kind!!! All verbal! Other family's yell, scream, etc and it gets them now where!!!!
