Race, being beyond one's control, is not properly a matter of either pride or shame.

It is certainly true that political correctness and anti-white racism have created many problems - flawed 'reasoning' usually does.

As far as official (government) discrimination being 'legal', it most certainly is not - the Constitution was amended to guarantee equal (not special) protection for all citizens, any statute, ordinance or regulation to the contrary is, in fact, not law, but mere usurpation and attempts to enforce said edicts should result in severe penalties for those oath-breakers who attempt said enforcement as well as the oath-breakers who promulgated them in the first place. In fact, I feel that 'Justice' Sotomayor is NOT qualified to sit on the Supreme Court precisely because of her racism. She served on the board of directors of a racist organization, whose very name translates as, "The Race."
What about affirmative action laws? Those are meant to discriminate against no one unless you're white. La Raza is another good one. I was at a Latino funeral and one of the people speaking turned it into a La Raza rally. I was the one of the only white guys there and was so bored and couldn't tell him to shut up.

Do we really know who you are...? I think after about a few weeks people usually get a good idea who you are and what you're about... I think.

    DOC,

Affirmative action 'laws' are clearly in violation of the equal protection clause as well as the founding spirit of our country. La Raza (and all other race-based organizations) are repugnant to every true American. I mentioned Sotomayor earlier; even if the 'wise latina woman' were to prove Constitutionally perfect in all other areas, her racism is enough to disqualify her from ANY public office, let alone the Supreme Court.

    SideShow Bob,

Among my associates and friends, your race is irrelevant; the 'white boys' as well as the brown and yellow people among us don't give a rat's ass about your paint job. What's between your ears and in your heart is all that counts with us...

That's all I was saying. I don't want them to feel bad about "their paint job" anymore then I want to feel bad about mine. I especially don't want them to think they can make me feel bad about mine. They are going to be in for some severe disappointment.

The Westword had a good story about this area about six months ago. If had "REAL" information from creditable sources. Too many people in one area at once. Drunks, gangbangers, trouble seekers...
