Keep in mind that I really like Ron Paul, but I don't trust him to be "Commander in Chief" of the US armed forces (not that I trust 'Bama either) ... and frankly I still would like him to stay in Congress (or maybe run for Senate) where he actually does some good. As president he'd have 4 years of lame duck grid lock and then go away completely.
Pretty much my thoughts on it. Plus, his stance on the southern border.

I think most Republicans and Tea Party folk would forgive him for his stance on the southern border (like they did Bush).

I gotta admit that even though I probably wouldn't vote for Paul in the primaries, the fact that all the media (left and right) completely ignores him (and Cain) drives me a little nuts.

They ignore him because he scares them, he doesnt tow the line, he doesnt bow to any special interest, his record is unimpeachable (ie no flip flop here) and he wants nothing more than to ruin the little party they have all been having on our dime. Frankly I dont see a problem with his isolationist stance. His border policy? hell Im all for it bringing the boys home and using those resources to protect our borders. People gripe about real change and the govt. interference in our lives, dirty rat fink politicians ripping us off, being in bed with everyone who will have them, but when faced with an opportunity to rid themselves of these things they balk and tow the line for the big two.

with the current system in place this smiley illustrates it perfectly. Them on the left and right and us in the middle taking the beating.
