I have a bunch of wooden cigar boxes...
I think I might even have one shaped just like the Ashton box... Than is one cool volume knob!
I messed around with re-packaging / re-boxing amps a long time ago... Primarily to reduce weight for shipping... you don't what to have to ship a heavy bass practice amp to an audition across country...
So I would find a good 10" practice amp and gut it - then re-box it into a sturdy cardboard box... take a piece of cardboard to cover over the speaker and ship it for 10 bucks...
The looks on peoples faces when you showed up with a cardboard amp and proceeded to funk the other bassist right outta their socks... priceless.

Just cranked the reverb on a Danelectro DH1 Hodad.

Also picked up most of the parts for the CBG. No pezio mic to be had. Radio Shack has really gone to Hell in a handbasket in the last few years. Hard sell on cell phone upgrades but nothing else of any use to be had.

Eads made up for it with a couple of nice cigar boxes and one big enough to make into an amp.
