I never though about tying ones views to the music they listened to. I do understand some of the stereotypes and some has merit but just because you listened to a group/song/style and this "Friend" went off?
He should know you better than that. I grew up during a great time for music and there are still new bands that impress me. I have been known to jump from many styles in a day. I have my favorites but like some of everything but Classical and that is because I was made to play it for many years and I wanted to play something else.And FZ rocks. I have most of the albums including the box set "Shut up and play your guitar".

NEVER let someone judge you for the music you listen to. I don't know about anyone else here, but I couldn't give two shits about a band's political views if their music is good. Sometimes it's annoying when they put it in their music, but it's not that tough to ignore.
