I agree that a person should have the right to require "no guns in my house, please", it's their house after all. But what I want to know is why does she even know? Does the carrier advertise the fact that he's packin' a Roscoe and brag about it? Does he handle it and show it off? If he's running his yap about carrying, or worse yet, handling the thing or passing it around, then IMO he has no business carrying to begin with.

Concealed means concealed! I carry in peoples houses all the time myself, but nobody knows about it and I intend to keep it that way. It's not something that needs to be discussed or shown off. If I should need it, I have it. If I don't need it, well, I still have it. No different than a pair of nail clippers to me, and it shouldn't be. Although the nail clippers are more likely to get used or asked about.

Did you guys consider that the writer is an absolute b***h so the niece's husband uses the fact that he carries a gun as an excuse to not go to their house?

Maybe the guy is just using it to his advantage. Sounds like a smart guy to me.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

Most of my close family knows that I carry. Not all of them though. So I know there are a few aunts that would have an issue with it if they knew, but they don't know, so it hasn't been an issue.

If this guy carries concealed, all he has to do is say, "I decided not to bring my gun this Thanksgiving. I've done an occular pat down of all the guests and determined them all to be safe. Let's eat some ham!" Then she'll be placated, and he'll still be carrying. Sounds like an easy fix to me, but they're both clearly trying to make a point.

I don't have a problem with anyone carrying in my house, at my work or anywhere. If I find out that you are carrying, you have to let me shoot it. That is my only rule.

If I were the guy, I simply would not go. I have no problem with anyone who does not want a weapon in their own house, that is their own right.

As far as Amy is concerned, the fact she cited Brady bull**** tells me all I need to know about her.

    Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

I took the writer to be female. Her house, her rules.

How in the Hell did the Brady Bunch come up with that incredible conclusion? If this is true 1 gun x 4 x X# of guns = I'm now afraid of going home tonight. What if Bubba doesn't "love" these people? Are they then safe? With their rational, guns only kill loved ones.
