    I was thinking the same thing... I don't think car thieves do that kind of thing, then again I'm not one so I don't fully know, but my limited experience with being a victim and reading about grand theft auto I've never come across a single case where an auto theft will "case" a car so in depth before stealing it...

    Is it possible the apt complex tow truck drivers towed it? Those guys are pretty shady. They threatend to tow my vehicle cause my tag was faded.
