I think zappers and the bat houses are the way to go. that should help but nothing will stop the wrath of the insects.
bird feeders as well, duck boxes around the ponds and lots of fish will also help keep the insects controlled.
With the bats just make sure to keep any building sealed up really well, I hear about them getting into houses quite a bit or making an attic or barn their home
Awesome, Charleston is only 45mn away. I've got a trip planned for mid June, so I'll build the bat houses, move in some ducks and see what happens. There is a large flock of turkeys that live there already, so not sure the ducks are gonna help much. I'm thinking the steam/smoke from making some moonshine should help with the bug problem too!
