It was not overnight, it was not fast, but rather slow, cold, and calculated. Hitler didnt start out by murdering Jews, he started by limited freedoms in order to better "protect" his citizens, and they fell for it just as we do today. The end result in America may never be another Holocaust, but it will be certainly be something that we will regret allowing to the day we die.
