    This is an awesome story about a true, hardcore, American hero. Louis Zamperini's life is nothing short of amazing grace. I've never heard of any "operator" or warrior whose story involves more honest, documented, will to survive and providence in overcoming the horrors of war. The man is still alive today.

    Counterinsurgency by David Kilcullen

    Just re-read The Mission, the Men, and Me by Peter Blaber. Have to read that one at least once a year.

    Just ordered that for my high schooler - required summer reading. Sounds like an amazing story.

    I might have to snag it from her when she's done
