You can always sport a Desert Eagle

For me its ether a Glock or a 1911 but to each his / her own. The biggest thing is figure out where you want to carry it and a rig for that postition. If you do carry the DE pack it in some "Thunderwear" that way you'll be a hit with the ladies too.

The saying goes...The longer you carry, the bigger your carry gets.

I started out with a SA Loaded Champ, dropped down to a XD9sc and then went to my current carry gun, a FS M&P9. I don't think that size (within reason) has much to do with carrying comfortably as weight does. At least for me.

I agree. That's why the two handguns that are currently on my radar or the Kahr CW45 and the Springfield XDS. I figure a small, thin, polymer frame handgun can't be too heavy.
