Harveys blue can of roofing tar from Home Depot is what you want. I'd go an inch or two onto your artwork of masonry...don't cover it up. Then I'd just go over your old flashing and probably 4 inches onto your shingles all the way around. That should get you until the next time you put on a new roof.
