Words can't even express what I'm feeling right now. It's truly a horrible event that took place and my prayers go out to all the victims hurt, be it physically or emotionally. This will scar people for many years to come.

I've been taking my CCW everywhere I go the past couple of weeks, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I had the means to protect myself and others, but was too lazy to carry somewhere and this type of event happened. I'm sure there was at least one person in the theater with a CCL who feels this way. It makes me wonder if people who have them fully know and remember the laws on where they can/can't carry. Even my Fiancee asked me last weekend if I could carry at the movie theater because she thought she had seen signs posted (there were none).

Just got word that one of the 310th Space Wing folks, my new wing, was at the theater, and is in the hospital.

My phone has been lighting up this morning. Crazy people. Don't know why people think an old married couple with kids is hitting up the movies on a weeknight.

ETA: In fact, the kids fell asleep early and the wife and I almost cried in joy because we got to go to sleep early too.

Best way to get in to see me at the shop is to call or email Shannon and make an appointment.

BirdDog hope your guy is ok and my deepest prayers are sent out to the families and victims. I think that this should show why we should all be armed but unfortunatly I don't think most are going to see it in that light.

I'm not saying they should have been there, I'm sure they have better things to do than babysit a movie theater.

That theater regularly hires about 5 officers for off duty work...Why they weren't there last night would only be because the theater didn't want to hire them

I beg you all to heed KevDen2005's suggestion in another thread to watch everything you post to ensure it can't be used to further their agenda.

We ALL agree that this is a very tragic situation. Let's pause to reflect on this situation. If you are inclined to praying, do this. If you know of a way to provide aid or assistance at this point, please share it with the rest of us so that we can work to improve this situation for those affected.

**NEWS BREAK: It's just been confirmed, the 6 year old little girl victim has passed away. ** ETA: Sorry, already covered.

This is great advice not only for Co-AR15 but for all the other firearm forums. Here on the MD local firearms site it's blowing up with people starting the arguments about controls. Please keep a level head in the hours, days, and weeks to come.

Thoughts and prayers with the victims and my brothers back in CO.

Thoughts and prayers to those affected.

I'm still amazed that no one had a ccw there or we're maybe afraid to use it? I usually carry everywhere, I'll maybe start a thread in the concealed forum explaining, but always carry where my chances of someone threatening my life increase significantly like a movie theater.
