I'm at about colfax and Potomac and the guys apartment is at basically Peoria and colfax. The helio activit is unreal news choppers etc. But a police chopper just left the scene and three seems like( but don't quote me) military chopper flew by the apartment.

thats exactly what I was thinking.. we were debating in another thread not to long ago the praticality of the 2+1. here would be a perfect reason to practice and use that. now doing that with tear gas, bullets flying etc.. who knows...

You can typically see a flight of 2 or 3 Blackhawks out of Buckley at least once a week. Probably just a training flight.

The alleged shooter is a neuroscience student at UC Anschutz Medical Center. His apartment is just west of the UC Campus.

Thank you to all who have checked in on us after last night's attack in nearby Aurora. Jamie, Owen and I were not there (it was a midnight show) and are safe. Unbelievably, the shooter was one of our neuroscience students. This is going to be very tough for our close-knit team (many of whom are neuroscience students and knew the shooter). Our community is hard-hit and we're all going to have to do double-duty in the coming weeks. Please keep posted on Team AHEC's facebook page for ideas on how to help. In the meantime, thoughts and prayers help.

For those of you GUESTS looking for dirt here you may have already sensed the outrage and disgust felt about this incident.
The members here would give you the shirt off their back to help anyone ANYONE. To the average politician we are all now potential criminals, terrorist or murderers. This is not the mindset here and if anyone tries to twist this site into that that then the proof will be your burden to prove.
I was going to take my wife to the movies today on her day off. This will not stop me. I will continue to go about my life as a responsible, law abiding, trained gun owner. The anti gun crowd will see us a threat to others and will attack us daily for exercising our Constitutional Rights and I will continue to go about my life as "The Clinger", a potential bad guy or what ever the media portrays us as.
This is not the case here.

I find it interesting/odd that when I was at this theater last week on a Tuesday night, there were about 6 cops hanging out in the lobby. I wasn't sure if it was for a call, because they were really loitering.

I'm not saying they should have been there, I'm sure they have better things to do than babysit a movie theater.

The theater contracts off duty officers as security , one of my buddies works that gig a lot .
