Each FFL keeps their own record of the firearms they sell and to whom and when.... When LE took possession of his guns, they can trace them from the manufacturer through the chain to the FFL. There is not a "registry" in Colorado. It's a pointless waste of tax payer money.
Exactly my point, there is not supposed to be a gun registry but effectively there is.
