I know the thread is over 3 years old. I just put it up so we could see how we stack up with the other states.
After that shooting at the movie theater last night I just can't believe that there wasn't one person carring that could maybe have slowed this ass hat down a little.

There could have been someone carrying- but to be honest, I know I'd think twice about drawing a small pistol against somebody with a shotgun AND rifle...

If I'm ever in the situation, I hope I have the stones, position and luck required to stop them- not for my glory, just to avert the tragedy. If I didn't have the guts to even try, it would eat me up- not like there isn't already plenty of hurt to go around in this situation.

I guess I would be the dumb ass going to jail after this theater thing, because 70 people wouldn't have been shot. Sad thing is they are already talking about metal detectors at the movie now.

Worthless unless they're at the emergency exits, too- since that's where he brought the guns in... knee-jerk reactions trying to find a way to prevent it from happening again. Why didn't the emergency exits have alarms? Wonder how long before lawsuits are filed?

I am a proponent that if you want to ban weapons in your public facility, you need to ensure EVERYBODY is disarmed... like the requirement for state-owned facilities: metal detectors and armed security.

What drama rag did you read that from? The worse that a place like the movie theater can do is call the police and have you put out with a trespass ticket. Maybe even go so far as to tell you never to come back. No one here is talking about "guns blazing" as you go through a metal decetor. If you had a chance to stop someone from killing 12 people and harming 59 others if you could do it safely, wouldn't you stop the threat?

Looks like they copied the info wrong, if you go to the data page, there are 139,000 in Colorado.
