The Salt Lick SW of Austin is the best in Texas. Hands down.

Moe's is good but tend to be too hit or miss. Some days it's really good stuff though and I like the unique sides they offer. Most all of them are fantastic. Offering the BBQ sauce warmed is a nice touch too.

I didnt read the whole thread.

If you come north, dismiss Nordys. Unless you have 2 gallons of water to compensate for the salt.

Other than that, I got nothing!

The Boot Grill, by Nordys has an amazing prime rib Sammy for $12. It's a 12oz section of prime rib on a little section of bun. Great deal IMHO. Be $20 most places.

I know it's not BBQ, but don't do Nordys!

I like Nordy's but only for their lunch buffet. IMO they don't have the best BBQ but it's tasty and the value of their lunch buffet is tough to beat. They have sweet potato tots now that are yummers and their battered/fried green beans are good too. I like their ribs and they have good sauces as well.

If we're going here, then I'm tossin' out Gates Bros. in KC...

And, while I'm at it, screw you all for doing this to me while I'm stuck in a place that BBQ is only a daydream! One that's making me hungry, dammit!
