Not to put too fine of a point on it...anything other than a pale face would stick out like a sore thumb up here. We do have fire bugs. There were suspicious fires last year and this year that were contained before they grew to any appreciable size.

Is terrorism (Al-Qaeda) the easy scape goat? There are some fawked up "home growns" that make more sense to me. Our local email board gets numerous reports of campfires left burning every week.

IIRC acts of terrorism are not covered by insurance unless there is a special rider policy.

Wasn't there reports of someone running around starting shit on fire down by the Springs as out the time of the Waldo Canyon Fire??

If I remember correctly, aerial fire fighting operations were suspended temporarily due to the sighting of a fireball appearance. The fireball was a asteroid! I'm glad it wasn't the size of the one that hit Arizona 50,000 years ago as we would all be dead.

You are correct- acts of terrorism are not covered by insurance- however, fire is covered, and I'm not sure there is any precedence stating that fire by terrorism would lead to a denied claim... This is unfamiliar territory here.

Actually just looked at a Special Form HO-3 (From Travelers) and the exclusions do not state anything about terrorism- It says acts of war and any direct and indirect result of, but terrorism is not in there, and nothing that says anything about or relating to terrorism. So one would be covered. But I would glance at your policy to make sure the word or any related terms to terrorism are in there. So my previous post is incorrect.
