I don't trust the mail in process either.

Who cares. We (the people) can all vote one way but if the electoral vote goes the other way then the majority loses anyways.

The cost of a stamp won't break my piggy bank. But, on second thought, maybe I have a good lawsuit in there somewhere. If asking someone to show a photo ID to vote is deemed to be some way of discouraging voter turn out the having to pay for a stamp should fall under the same thing.

As far as actually getting out and going to the polling place... I've got better things to do with my time.

I'll mail mine in until I can figure out the details of my lawsuit. I might wait until I see the election results before I decide to file.

    Helluva a point Ray.
What is more difficult for "underpriveliged" voters to attain:
A valid state issue I.D. or 50 cents to mail in a ballot?
    Tough call

I wish they had a way for me to vote on-line. I can file and pay taxes on-line, I can bank and pay bills on-line. Why can't I vote on-line too?

If i wanted to get anal[er] than i am, sometimes. Sure it is only $0.65 for a stamp. However requiring you to pay to vote, no matter how small the amount is illegal.
IF "urban" areas were required to to vote by mail only, imagine the lawsuits due to "underprivileged" having to pay, Anything.

    Dear God No!

You think cheating is easy/rampant now, just wait until online voting. Our elections will be as secure as one of those dumb polls we always fire bomb on newspaper web sites.

If you can make secure financial transaction on-line and identify yourself to the IRS I would think there would be a good way to vote on-line.

But I'm not a computer genius. Trust me.

You're not required to vote by mail, its a convenience. Now, IF they went to mandatory, mail-in ONLY elections the ballots would likely come with bulk mailing permits on them.
