There are plenty of deep fried stinky tofu in Chinese joints in Denver area. You just have specify hongkong or taiwanese style.

My inlaws+ wife & kids and sister in laws family all went to Japan and south Korea for vacation last month.
Wife said of was one of the best.vacation ever.
It is always best to buy item ( where you are going) that we do not have here. of course it has to clear customs.
I asked my wife to buy 100 patches of ketoprofen topical NSAID patch.

Suprised stinky tofu has such high remarks. Saw it on strange foods. The american-taiwanese friend hates the stuff. (Even more when his wife eats some then tries kisses.)

I'll be there for 10 days, first day or two is my friend here on the board's wedding, then basically a fairly strict tour by him and the wifey around the island with the last few days back in Taipei. So far I've requested $400 converted for spending $ and fear I'll want to blow more.
I have spent months of my life there, best friend is a model/actor there. You will absolutely blow more money than that, it's not a really cheap place. Where on the island are you staying, Taipei or elsewhere?

If you like clubs an old buddy just opened up the OTS Chess Club, lots of foreign models there.

Taipei for wedding and at end. All over during.

Some of the costs such as planned meals already paid for so my play money is mainly in addition to that. (And I prefer local vendors vs tourist trap and/or nice places.) Was like that in Czech Republic, eat at foreigner establishment for $$$ or eat locally for $3.

What about Japan? I have a 4 hour layover in Narita, so figure 3 hours to screw around. Easy to escape nearby or best to just hold tight in the airport and look at all the really F***ed up idea for porn they got?

It's a medium-long train ride into the city from Narita. It's not worth the short time you have. I don't remember seeing any tentacle porn at the airport. If you can get into the United Red Carpet Club, you have to check out the beer pouring machines. Also, they have free shower facilities in the Club, and it's very nice to finish the trip shiny and clean.

You might spend up that money on the damn vending machines at Narita airport alone. Try their 'instant' curry rice!

Narita is okay, they have a good selection of high tech gadgets, that are only available in Japan. Beer is quite expensive, but not much else to do there, it's quite a sterile place.
    Thanks,
