I don't see why guys would give you flak for it too me it seem like a damn good habit to get into just in case. When i start doing AR courses idk what you call them i've never done one but really want too. I'll try that method out.

Cause its a waste of time. Youre focusing on your chamber when you should be focusing on the threat(s). You check the chamber in low/no light situations.

I can understand where they are coming from. Im doing 12 shots WITH a reload in 5.42 seconds......WITH a chamber check....so time isnt a problem.

Still its all about training like you fight, I can understand where they comin from

I'm still undecided on the AFG. The ALG Combat Trigger is OK for what it is. The two P-mags coupled together with the Magpul Mag-link is kind of nice.

Those are my most recent additions.

While I like the look and feel of the CASV-M handguard, it limits my choice of optics if I want 100% co-witness with the irons.

I also have a fiber-optic front sight that I have mixed feelings about as well.

That's the Daniel Defense A1.5 sight. I believe other sights will fit just as well, such as the Troy folding sights.

I just finished my Masters and finally had a chance to put this together tonight. Do not recommend buying this model with the Magpul parts already installed. It is much cheaper to buy the parts yourself and assemble them plus it took all but 15 minutes and that was because I was partly distracted.

No I don't need all the tacticool crap on my weapons- AK is staying stock as is, and I'm fine with my EOTech with MBUS for backups on the POF... Now, I do want to get an AR-10 so I can have a 7.62x51 chambered AR, that I'll put a bipod, scope and Magpul PRS stock on 'er and call it good.

Thanks! I can not say enough good about the POF, it is one great rifle. The A2 is the rifle I shot competitively for many years. It looks like an A2 on the outside but I had done a lot of work internally to get it to shoot like it does!

I'm putting a 7x magnifier behind the Aimpoint, the Troy's would be on there, but I can't find them... and I'm not sure if I'm keeping the barrel that long, and I'm definately either deep fluting it, octagoning it, or octagoning and fluting it... Hell, maybe I'll just pencil it and call it good...

-Not really a black rifle but a modernized battle rifle. This is another clone i put together and still working on some of the small details. This is the Mk14 Mod 1 - I did go with the FDE Sage Chassis vs the Seal Grey version. I currently run this rifle with irons or a MRD sight and totally love it that way.

Here is one i put together the other night. Barrel finally came in and was able to get it all strapped together. This is my RECCE build. Barrel is a Douglas Match 16" wylde chamber and mid-length gas system. Rail is a Larue 11.0 on a Keyhole upper with a Young NM BCG and PRI Gas Buster CH. I do have the Ops Inc. brake to match my Mk12, but i need another 12th model collar as i all i have is 2 15th model collers in my parts bin. I hope to get it out to range soon and do some testing on it.
