I shot it yesterday and it was very comfortable to shoot. At about 20 feet it was hitting about two feet low from where I was aiming. I have to figure out the 'sight picture' to get it closer to the target. The other thing was I forgot my other ammo. The stuff I tried was tumbling. I have at least a couple other types / load of ammo. I hope I can find one of them that doesn't tumble. Overall I an very happy with the way it cam out.

It's taken over 5 years to get this thing slowly to where it is at today. It started as my first build, made a few mistakes, and it is now my most reliable AR.

Starting from the stock forward.
Magpul MOE SL-K stock.
Mil-spec buffer tube.
Tubbs CS flat wire spring.
Spikes ST-T1 buffer.
Noveske qd end plate.
AIM lower parts kit.
Mil-spec trigger group.
Magpul BAD lever.
BCM gunfighter mod 1 grip.
Magpul trigger gaurd.
Stag Arms lower.
Del-Ton upper.
Del-Ton 16" midlength hbar 1:9.
ALG EMR v2 15"
Geissele low profile gas block.
Magpul m-lok hand stop.
LWRC skirmish buis.
Arisaka m-lok in line light mount.
Steamlight protac hl.
Battle Comp 1.0.

The only things left I want, are a BAD-ASS ambidextrous selector. Vortex strike eagle 1-4. Unsure what mount for the strike eagle. Saving the lighter barrel for another build.

How do you like the MRO?

I like it a lot actually. I don't see the slight blue color tint (no more so than my T1's anyway) or the slight magnification that some mention as a negative and the price point was quite a bit less than adding another T1 to the stable. I really like the field of view on the MRO as compared to the T1 or other RDS near this price point. For a CQB type weapon such as this I think the larger FOV is an advantage. This was a budget two-stamp build from the outset so the MRO fit that bill better than a T1 and all-in I'm going to be at a very attainable price point most once this is complete.

Thanks for the reply! I've been eyeballing one for my next build, I just wanted to see how it did on the market for a while before I picked one up. Compared to what I paid for my aimpoint micros, it almost seemed like it was too good to be true.

Yeah those look nice too. He just chopped the barrel for my 17 and the experience was a little bumpy. Quality was on par but service was slow (6-7 weeks) and some parts weren't included. It took two weeks to get a response back about the missing parts. He's handling it for me but I think he might be getting overwhelmed.

It's cheaper, lighter, and thinner than the Magpul SL HG--and it actually works on most Midlength handguard retainers. The gray color isn't quite as dark as other brands' gray colors. I like it quite a bit and it's VERY handy. I also like Keymod more even though it looks like dicks. My only gripe is the fact that no matter what, there is always that gap between the two pieces (the heatshield seems to be a little tall) that makes it look less "sharp".

If that's the upper he got from me, it basically is a factory DD MK18 upper with the Centurion CMR 9.5 handguard, I'm guessing AAC flash hider or brakeout Comp, since there is a noticeable gap or maybe I'm looking at an angle, can't tell, I have a brake and it's almost touching the handguard. Turned out good!

It is a Centurion CMR 9.5" rail with an AAC Brake on a factory Daniel Defense MK18 upper. It just lines up perfect. As a test I couldn't even slip a dime straight in between the can and rail.

My 10.5 BCM with 10" KMR has about a 3/8 gap which worked out well for me.

My 9" AAC with Samson 7.6 has about 3/4" gap - that one I wish I could get closer but everything I looked at when I built it using the AAC barrel kit would interfere with the AAC latch.

Been a while since I have posted anything and figured my now 16 month old pistol build...still unfired due the serious lack of places to shoot around here...would be a good post. Hope is on the horizon though as a new indoor range for pistol and rifle is about to open not a mile from my house here in Cape Coral.
Bought a PSA assembled pistol lower and replaced the buffer tube with a Thordsen Custom Cheek Rest which feels real nice. PSA 10.5" pistol upper with Magpul furniture, BUIS, AFG and CAA light mount. Also shown is it's "Wilson Combat" carrying case that fits like a glove and also takes 3-20 mags and a 150 rd bandoleer. Rides in the car whenever I go more than 50 miles from home. My SA XDs 9 is always on my side as well.

It's a Critical Capabilities lower, KAK Shockwave blade, Law Tactical folder, standard LPK with a PSA polished trigger, Angstadt Arms stripped upper with Angstadt BCG, Faxon 8" barrel, SD Tactical muzzle break, Midwest Industries 7" SSK keymod hand guard and Strike Industries charging handle. It runs perfectly. Not bad on the blast and fits great in a backpack.

Took about 10hrs dicking around on the laptop to draw it, and SEVERAL hours to spray/bake/spray/bake/apply stencil/spray/bake/spray/remove stencil/bake. Stencil was ~18x35 inches or so, not pieced together from smaller chunks.

The engine is a 1922 Miller 122. It’s a 122 cu in straight 8. You can see on the left side of the top picture, it has a super charger driven off the cams. Car ran a few Indy 500s. Pretty neat shit! It’s coming back to life slow but sure.

I've always loved the look of the three different FDE shades (4 if you count the FDE Surefire Ultra light it will be wearing) on an FNX45 Tactical with a FDE Osprey so I decided I'd get one for a dedicated suppressor on that host. Yes, I'm getting to an age where moving suppressors from host to host is just too difficult and laborious even with these whiz-bang new attachment methods called QD so I will now continue buying a suppressor for every firearm I own. lol

I talked with someone @ SilencerCo who said that they've been shipping the freebies out since October and had a little bit of a supply issue the last month or so and at the start of the year anticipated shipping out a massive amount of them. He said that my two would likely go out in the next couple of weeks. Then it's just another 6 month wait for the stamps to come back and I'm all good in time for summer!

You could have but the satisfaction, knowing, you built it is even better. if you ever decide to do a carbine XM177 clone i have the original 2 & 3 position car-15 stocks

Took it and my AR pistol to the range a couple times this weekend. Going back and forth between the rifle and carbine length gas systems really shows the difference in felt recoil.

Have you shot this enough to say whether the barrel is accurate? The ELD barrels I have bought are tack drivers.

I've only ran it with the night vision, so during the day the veiw isn't the best, but she still runs 1.5" groups at 200 yards with my reloads.

You might be surprised how much of that difference is attributable to modern barrels being severely overgassed. Try out a BRT port restrictor or small hole gastube, and you might find the carbine experience improves tremendously.

Davidsen defense. The wife who seldom shoots was touching bullet holes at 100 yards last year.

I think mine is really marginal. The first mag, every other round or so would eject the spent round, but couldn't load the next. It smoothed out after and ran fine.

I pieced this one together. I didn't go crazy with high end parts as it was built strictly for night hunting, and I didn't require the same precision as I do from my day rifles. I was very surprised how accurate it all is though.
