It's not 5 total (mistake I made), it's 5 of EACH type. so you can get 5 Gen 3, 5 Gen 2 Windowed, and 5 Gen 2 Non windowed = 15 total.

I don't own a rifle yet but I'd like to pick up some of these mags before they are banned. What I would really like is a Sig 556 rifle but an AR is more affordable.

What is the difference between the different "generation" (2nd or 3rd) magazines listed on the Magpul web site? How about those magazines with windows? Is that useful or just a "gadget".

They've probably either had a high incidence of member charges to a single entity, or there was incidence of fraudulent purchase form MagPul in the past perpetrated against card members.

There's any number of reasons a charge can get automatically flagged for fraud - purchases outside your: normal travel area(s), normal spend, first time internet purchase, etc. Basically if you spend outside a pattern, they'll often flag them as fraud and want verification. Amex calls are not uncommon. I had to call them Amex once because the merchant account being used by the liquidator of Circuit City was getting flagged for fraud. Probably a spike in purchases from the merchant.

Why confused? That's the last valid date before the ban goes into effect. (07/2013). Seeing as Magpul will likely be in the process of moving during the -actual- 06/2013, and likely not producing mags _to be sold in colorado_ around that time, this may be a bit of a 'signature' of how effective the Boulder Airlift was. Think of it as perhaps a bit of a tiny little middle finger. A gesture, at least.

I would not be surprised if they dialed the datestamp up to 6/2013 the moment the senate passed HB-1224. Perhaps all Boulder Airlift mags going forward will be dated 06/2013. (Or perhaps, all Magpul mags, period? .... there's no law against it....)

aryntha (http://www.ar-15.co/members/11039-aryntha) got a lot right... Richard Fitzpatrick and the MAGPUL bunch are known a bit for "annoy the establishment" things; err, Boulder Airlift being the latest.

OK, we'll never really know but I also suspect they changed their molding stamps on current production to help meet their standing demand from contracts/dealers AND still supply CO w/ current run mags dated prior to the enactment date. In the demoncraps mind they "exempted" manufacturing post-date to keep MAGPUL; I fully suspect they'll continue production/no CO sales post-July to continue to meet demand... F/U CO legislators while we're moving!

(Takes a bit of time to fully move production/equipment/find suppliers for a lot of the precision molding MAGPUL does.. ;) )


ETA: THANKS MAGPUL! I also hear reliable rumors of temporary MAGPUL Boulder Airlift aid stations/temporary retail outlets coming to a neighborhood near you soon...

Kinda bummed about the Boulder Airlift / "PMAG Special Purchase". They don't list any 20 round 5.56 mags, only 30 rounders. I live in denver so they won't ship 30 rounders to me. OK, so I'll order some AR10 mags. The email said you can order 10 each AR10 mags but when I just tried to order them the order says there is a 5 round limit. I sent them an email about the 5.56 mag situation on Tuesday. I think I'll wait until Friday night for a reply and then maybe give up and order the 5 AR10 mags.

We've delayed much needed expansion due to the uncertainty around our current location, so please be understanding about our longer than usual response times.

Your order WILL ship if you received a confirmation. If you received a partial, you WILL get the rest of your order.

For our customers in the rest of the US, we are still shipping to distribution and retailers, and thanks to some added capacity, pretty much in the same volumes as before starting the Boulder Airlift program. It's the shipping and the processing that is the limiting factor for the Airlift program...not production.

We've got even more capacity coming online soon, but WHERE it comes online will depend on Gov Hickenlooper's actions on HB 1224.

One more thing we'd like to add...the Boulder Airlift program is meant to get magazines to CO residents who want to have, keep, and use standard capacity magazines. Please do not abuse this program by ordering magazines if you have the intent to resell them.

I got the non windowed mags from my order, but the gen3 and 308 mags said backordered. My card was authorized for the full amount but it looks like the charge that went through was just for the non windowed pmags I received. I hope they didn't forget about me!

I'd guess the big problem they hit was the 308 mags.

anyone with an AR10 on their possible list grabbed 5 and they said Damn that more of those than we made last year.

Is there a difference between the regular mags and Air Lift mags? I have not received my Air Lift mags yet, order placed last week, but I have noticed a lot of the posts in the forums specifically stating Air Lift or Non-Air Lift. Just curious if they started dating the mags or something like that. Thanks,

No difference in magazines. I think in this thread or a related one, that it was mentioned that the mags are date stamped 6/30/13 no matter when they were ordered or received.
