So if all these pass, I see this in my future: My boss tells me to go to Asia for my quarterly business trip. As I have (say) 10 guns in my safe, and my wife will need access to those guns to protect our family, we will need to transfer them. Since I'm fully expecting to retain ownership of those guns, I can't bona fide gift those to her. We have to go to an FFL, with all my guns, and transfer them, at 10 x ($10+new fee), say a total of $30 initially, leaving them with the FFL until the BGC is approved. Now, I'm not going to return in three days, so she will breaking the law by not returning my guns to me in 72 hours and loses her right to possess firearms. And if any of those guns use magazines with greater than 15 capacity, I can't transfer those to her, so she is less safe than she would be if she had full access to a working AR. Let's say she gets a currently non-existent extension, upon my return we do the same thing all over again, paying another $30 to the FFL for the pure purpose of retaining my Constitutionally protected rights. What's not to like?

I have upwards of 40...I am out of town more often than home. Do the math on that.

It is just so painfully obvious that it is all a sham. There is no debate, its just the dems allowing the repubs to blow off steam and bloviate for a few hours on each bill before just passing them anyway.
