Republicans continued the usual dumb-fuckery by trying to amend this bill to allow the license clerk to with hold the marriage license if they held a personal religious belief that was against gay marriage. This is the equivalent of the DMV clerk denying the renewal of your Driver's License because of his or her personal religious beliefs.
