Maybe the pro-pot folks wouldn't have such a hard time convincing folks that it's no worse than liquor if they hadn't spent those same 50 years trying to tell everybody that smoking pot is really the same as smoking tobacco cigarettes ("except marijuana isn't addictive and tobacco is")..

I guess that means after July 1st I better not fill out a background check with an image of an AR with a 30 round mag on my chest either... I wouldn't want to come across as a potential law breaker and raise any eyebrows...

The 4473 does not ask if you are "Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, shooting an AR with a 30 round mag. It says "Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance."

I know what you are saying but wearing a weed shirt makes you just as much of a law breaker as wearing a 30 round mag shirt, which is not at all. I have a Burton hoodie that I wear, I guess people would assume I snowboard but I don't. People may not like the weed shirt any more than the AR shirt, but its nobody's business what I wear.

    Correct.
Until the feds come on board with weed use and the 4473 no longer ask that question. One is better to be quiet about their "habits", than roll in smelling like weed.

When purchasing a firearm you are completing a FEDERAL ATF Form 4473 which specifically asks about illegal (based off of Federal, not CO law) drug use. As much as the pro-pot oljs wish (and claim) it isn't so, regarding firearm purchases, Fed law trumps.

Wearing the shirt with pot image on it for a firearm purchase would be as smart as wearing an anti-gov/militia shirt when having your CCW interview. Just not smart.
    Stop making sense.

I agree that the Feds will ultimately come around. And to be honest I would never personally wear a weed shirt to buy a gun. I'm not a fan of unwanted attention, but at the same time if someone else wants to do it, knock yourself out...

I'm irresponsible when I shoot guns. And eye responsible too.

I bought a gun wearing this shirt, twice.
