Haven't been wheeling since 2011, you guys make me jealous.
Been wanting to get up to Coney Flats/Middle St. Vrain. One of my fav trails. Then there is Red Elephant and Mill Creek/Bill Moore which is all day ride.
Part of why I haven't been wheeling is timing and teaming up with someone. Need to do a shakedown on my ugly bitch to make sure I am in operational safety levels.![]()
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"
My feedback
the trails i mentioned are pretty easy i think.
i've mountain biked rollins pass on both sides, the east side is way bumpier and shorter - yankee doodle lake is up there and there is a trailhead to a couple more lakes
i've been up cumberland gulch by st marys in my f250
i took the f250 a couple miles up mammoth gulch, that was easy too
i took my 4runner up to the waldorf mine out of georgetown - that was rocky and fun; i did not get to argentine pass b/c of the weather; lots of mining structures and stuff up there;
what time are we talking about leaving at?
want to make sure that we get up there early enough to avoid big ol' t-storms and don't forget about people coming down from camping all weekend
Bump for wheeling this weekend! Anyone still want to go?
