I'm sure Putin would love nothing better than to send an emergency response team in so he could tell his public that we're so incompetent we had to get help from the great Russian people. There's a point where more boots on the ground just create more confusion and friction. I suspect logistics will be hard enough with the out-of-state teams who don't know the area or geography, no need to throw in teams who don't even speak or read English.

How many people are missing there? How much property damage is there? How many universities and medical centers are under water there?

You are literally taking a natural disaster, which has killed several people, hundreds more are missing, billions in property damage and probably a couple hundred thousand people who have lost their homes, and are making it into a bullshit partisan gun politic argument.

Personally, I don't think it's a bad thing to look at this with some skepticism. Skepticism comes with experience. Suspicion toward the government's motives is a healthy thing, IMO. The Founders didn't trust the government, and neither should we.

Many of these folks weren't allowed to buy flood insurance. Now our tax dollars get to pay for a lot of the damage.

I apologize for my post. I wasn't trying to start something or hijack the thread. I stated it more in spite of the location than as an actual response. I shouldn't base my responses on the political leanings of the area as opposed to the fact that they are victims of a natural disaster.

You know what Stoner, I understand the reaction I really do, I have no issues with your opinion as I think its very valid but not what I was trying to find out. I have no problems with you, so don't give it another thought, we are all a little wound up right now!
