Why would you have to defend the matches at PWSA meetings, or anywhere else? The couple of PD matches I've attended were ran well, safe, and fun. Is old fogeyism rearing its ugly head?

We are not considered a gentleman's game. There are people on the inside and outside of the club that want not just this match, but the whole range shut down.

I'm sorry to hear that. So it is old fogeyism. So very sad. Shooting is more than just plopping one's arse on a bench and poking the tiniest groups in paper possible, although that's fun too.

I wonder who those outside the club who want to see the entire range shut down might be, disgruntled homeowners who knew there was a shooting range nearby and yet decided to build their large, out-of-place-looking homes on land not suitable for much else besides a shooting range anyway? (If that's not the case, then I apologize to all of large, out-of-place-looking homes homeowners for casting unfair aspersions.)

Thanks again to everyone that took time out of their busy lives and came out to the PWSA Membership Meeting on Tuesday night to support these matches and your club. The meetings are open to the public and are the first Tuesday night of every month. If one day you show up at the range to shoot and find the gate permanently locked, you cant say I didnt try to get you involved... The club you save might be your own. Our range is the nicest in the state, I would hate to lose it.

Get those .22's cleaned up and ready to rock. Should be a fun day. The 40X mafia is going to be underrepresented (just me shooting a borrowed rifle), so you Savage weenies have a chance.

Everyone that came out today got beat by a girl. Jackie again showed us she knows how to run an Anschutz. The 40X Mafia was hot on her heels though.

I rolled in a little before 8:00 with Dino for set-up. Within minutes there was 7 people lifting heavy things and making it happen. I cant thank you all enough.

The new format for smallbore worked out pretty well. Round count for today was 82. Now that we learned some things it will go much faster next month. Using reactive steel made spotting/scoring much easier.

Results just went out. Let me know if you didnt get them.

Some pics of the targets we used yesterday. When you hit the target the plate falls backwards and leaves a hole, they just have not been repainted yet. Typical Biathlon targets. Also used at the Chevy Truck Sportsmans Team Challenge.

It's extremely low key, especially now that we're shooting only .22's for another month or so. I'm going to bring my wife next month (she's shot a few USPSA matches), I think she'll have fun.
